Alexandra Park Greenhouse is a 1934 teak Richardson greenhouse that has been carefully restored through funding from our local community and volunteers giving their time to; clearing, planting, propagating, creating and maintaining the flower beds, nurturing and caring for plants in the greenhouse and restoration and maintenance of the building. We encourage the local community to contact and visit us to see this wonderful space and imagine how they can use it. Community groups can book to use the greenhouse space for their activities. We host ticketed events such as horticultural talks by experts, guidance on composting and care of your vegetable plot and art classes etc which help finance the community use of the venue. We open for plant sales on Saturday mornings 10.30 to 1pm and Thursday afternoons 2.30 to 5pm using donated and self-propagated plants to provide the cost off upkeep of the building.
