Over the last few years, we have developed a space in Sidley woods to run forest school sessions for the nursery children. We have a fire pit with a fire circle, an arts and crafts corner, a mud and exploration space and a physical play area. In addition, The Bexhill Family Collective CIC who run Dragonflies Community Nursery, have opened The Collective Garden, just across the road from the nursery. This community garden will have a dedicated area for the nursery children to take part in allotment style activities, whilst learning about the changing seasons, wildlife, sustainable living and how to look after our environment. Many of our nursery team have undertaken Forest School Training. We are now looking more volunteers to support us in running this by working with the children in this outdoor space. A great opportunity for anyone looking for experience working with children.
