Flat green bowling. The Club was established in 1919 and has had the green at Back Lane, Gromenfield in Groombridge since 1937. A modern day, fully integrated mixed membership, we play both friendly and league games. We welcome all ages and woods are available for new starters. We have in-club coaching facilities. Our members come from Groombridge and the surrounding towns and villages both sides of the Sussex/Kent border. It's the only game where you can chat to your opposition whilst playing. Outdoor season April to the end of September, plus some matches against indoor teams during the winter. Our mixed matches are played mainly on Wednesday evenings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, approximately 50 matches per year. Our ladies organise and play on Tuesday evenings in a local league, and we also play in the Tunbridge Wells open league on Thursday nights.
