About The SEND Early Years' Service (SEND EYS) supports pre-school aged children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This may include complex needs, including pre-school aged children who have English as an Additional Language where those needs create a barrier to learning and inclusion. SEND EYS provide the following as part of their intervention with a child: Bespoke training for providers (including: Makaton, Down Syndrome, Using Visuals and Developing a Visual Environment, Behaviour and Therapeutic Thinking, Attention Development, Autism, EAL, Early Interaction, and Sensory Circuits for pre-school settings) Assessment and individual planning for a child’s learning Collaborative working with providers, health, parents and carers Transition support and guidance for children with SEND when entering pre-school or school How to access SEND EYS support Referrals are considered at a regular referral meeting.
