Every year, we pack in excess of 700 food hampers for distribution to local families, and host a two-day event (over Christmas and Boxing Days), offering entertainment, food and company to anyone who would like to share in it. We are actively seeking new members to help with this, in particular, a secretary, a website coordinator, and trustees. The secretary’s duties are likely to include administration, preparing for meetings, taking minutes, and responding to enquiries about our mission. The website coordinator will take over running and updating our website, and coordinating with the chair on various tasks. New trustees would assist in ensuring that the charity is being correctly run, and acting in the charity’s best interests, amongst other things. Specific duties will be discussed with anyone who applies for a role, but all of these voluntary positions are compatible with work and family commitments.
