We are a volunteer car driver scheme for residents of the Havens coastal stretch (Saltdean to Seaford) and provide flexible and accessible journeys in response to unmet local transport needs. We are frequently the only means of transport for vulnerable and isolated people who are often older or people with disabilities. We help people to stay independent, participate in their communities and access vital public services. Our caring drivers take our members to the hospital or other daily living appointments and stay with them before returning home. We have over 500 members and are liaising with more than 20 volunteer drivers to ensure we can get our members to their appointments in the community.
