PACT is an early years drop in and play group for families living in Hastings and St Leonards on Sea. The groups are facilitated by trained and suitability checked volunteers who are all parents themselves. Access to the group is via referral from either your Health Visitor or other professional involved with your family. FSN offer training opportunities for parent/carers to become PACT volunteers. This is a fully accredited training programme (City and Guilds) and a great opportunity as a first step towards working with children within nurseries or schools. The duration of the training is 10 x 4 hour sessions and volunteering requirements are 2 hours a week for 6 months thereafter. Progression onto Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Early Years Practitioner courses are also available (funding dependent).
