Do you have an interest in policing ‘behind the scenes’? We are looking for Independent Custody Visitors for Eastbourne Custody Centre. Independent Custody Visiting is a statutory function that is performed by the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner. Independent Custody Visitors are members of the local community who work in pairs to make unannounced visits on the Custody Centre. Their role is to monitor and report on the well-being, rights and entitlements of people in police custody, while reviewing the running of the Custody Centre.
