Wave's activity calendar includes weekly timetabled sessions which are specifically designed to help support participation of those over 65 years of age. These sessions are at various levels of intensity and range from gentle exercise, such as Chair-Based Exercise and Strength and Balance classes, to higher intensity such as Table Tennis and Senior Gym sessions. Our Senior Activity Programme includes: Health Walks With a walk leader on hand to provide local knowledge, everyone's invited to enjoy a revitalising walk and explore the natural beauty of our local area, all without spending a penny. Strength and Balance These classes are designed to help reduce the risk of falling by improving strength, balance and confidence. The class consists of a selection of seated and standing exercises, some with light weights or resistance bands.
