The Burwash Weald and Common Memorial Fund Playing Field was established as a Registered Charity in 1957 in order to acquire land for use as a Playing Field for the benefit of the village residents and to provide a new home for the Burwash Weald and Common Cricket Club. The Playing Field is run by a management committee and a strong band of supporters who help at events. A new Pavilion was opened in 2009; it has a function room, home and away changing rooms, toilets - to include disabled facilities, fitted kitchen and a club room with two snooker tables. The outside decking affords great views across the field towards Stonegate and Ticehurst.
