Yes, our companions can drive their own vehicle and are insured to do so with their clients. This enables trips to appointments, social events, or simply getting out and about.
Absolutely! We understand that needs can change over time. We regularly review our service with clients and families, and can adjust visit frequency, duration, or support type as required. Our service is completely flexible to meet your evolving needs.
Our minimum visit is typically 1 hour, but we're flexible and can arrange anything from short regular visits to full-day companionship. We work with you to create a schedule that best suits your needs.
We carefully consider personality, interests, hobbies, and schedule preferences to ensure the best possible match. We arrange an initial meeting to ensure both parties feel comfortable before beginning regular visits.
All companions are trained in emergency procedures and carry mobile phones. They have emergency contact numbers and clear protocols to follow. While we don't provide medical care, we ensure emergency services or family members are contacted immediately if needed.
We understand the importance of consistency, but when your regular companion is on holiday or unwell, we provide a carefully selected replacement who has been fully briefed on your preferences and requirements.
All our companions undergo comprehensive training including early-stage dementia awareness and safeguarding. We regularly update our training to ensure the highest standards of service. Additionally, many of our companions have previously worked as carers, meaning they have knowledge and experience in first aid and mobility handling.
While care services focus on personal care and medical needs, our companionship service provides social support, assistance with daily tasks, and meaningful engagement. We don't provide personal care or medical assistance, but we can help with everything from shopping to attending events to technology support.
